As a Dutch manufacturer and supplier of innovative metering solutions, we help organisations monitor and optimise their energy consumption. Our technology actively supports the energy transition by improving efficiency and strengthening control in both conventional and renewable energy systems. That same hunger for innovation is exactly what characterises the Delft Solar Team. This ambitious group of students from Delft University of Technology designs, builds and optimises prize-winning solar cars, constantly pushing the boundaries of solar mobility. Under pressure, with limited time and resources, they turn bold ideas into tangible achievements.
A year of adventure and innovation
Over the past year, we have been able to share in the Delft Solar Team's experiences. We followed their innovations closely and were present at the impressive unveiling of the car. Later that year, a delegation from the Delft Solar Team attended our inepro Partner Day. They brought their solar car with them and inspired our business partners with stories about their innovations, hard lessons, unexpected setbacks, unforgettable highlights, and the power of true teamwork under extreme conditions.
The highlight of the year was seeing the Delft Solar Team win the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia. This incredible achievement was the perfect culmination of a year marked by ambition, resilience, and world-class performance.
And the adventure continues…
This year will be another exciting one. The Delft Solar Team is once again building a completely new solar car, challenging themselves to go further and think differently. For now, much of this remains a mystery. Due to the competition, the details are still being kept secret, and we will have to wait patiently until the official unveiling to see what they have been working on behind closed doors.
What we do know is that their next challenge will take the team across the United States during the American Solar Challenge. A new continent, new conditions, and new opportunities to prove what innovation, teamwork, and perseverance can achieve. We are curious to see how this adventurous and inventive team will once again turn curiosity and bold ideas into groundbreaking achievements. If the past year has taught us anything, it is that the Delft Solar team is capable of exceeding expectations and inspiring everyone who follows their journey.
By pushing the limits of what a solar-powered car can do, the Delft Solar Team continues to change how people view renewable energy, not as an alternative for tomorrow, but as a powerful, high-performance solution for today.
