A shared vision for innovation and sustainability

Since 2025, we have proudly partnered with the innovative student team from TU Delft. Consisting of 18 talented students, the Brunel Solar Team has dedicated months to developing the Nuna 13. With this solar-powered vehicle, they will take on the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2025. A demanding 3,000-kilometre journey through the Australian outback, running from 24 to 31 August. The team is aiming to cross the finish line by the 28th.

Through this collaboration, we aim to push the limits of sustainable innovation and make a meaningful contribution to a cleaner, greener future.

Jeroen Pynenburg, our CEO, shares his enthusiasm for the partnership:

"The Brunel Solar Team's mission, 'Promoting sustainability through innovation', perfectly matches ours. Seeing how these young engineers challenge expectations with creativity and technical skill is truly inspiring. That same mindset drives us at inepro. Every day, we aim to develop better, smarter and more sustainable solutions. Just like the Brunel Solar Team, we are committed to real progress. Our energy meters are developed with the same attention to detail, passion for technology and belief in the power of innovation to make a difference."

Nuna 13 showcases technological progress

The unveiling of Nuna 13 on 10 June was a significant milestone for the team, and we were proud to witness it. The new car is packed with cutting-edge technology, including the most efficient solar cells developed to date, an upgraded motor and an entirely new production method. One of the most striking innovations is a unique extendable and rotatable fin that captures side winds and converts them into extra propulsion.

This innovative solution is essential this year, as the race takes place two months earlier than usual, resulting in less available sunlight. The team is also racing with a battery three times smaller than last year's, adding to the challenge. The fin generates more thrust from side winds than the drag it creates, offering a clever way to boost performance and charge the battery during the race.

With just a few weeks left until departure, the team is fully focused on final preparations, with one clear goal: bringing the world title back to the Netherlands.

Looking ahead with excitement

"We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming race and fully support the Brunel Solar Team's ambitious goal of bringing the world title to the Netherlands. The team has already made impressive technological advancements, and we are proud to be part of this exciting journey. We wish the team the best of luck in the race and are excited to see the thrilling challenges that the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2025 will bring," says an excited Jeroen Pynenburg.
